FirstClass conferences
Purpose: To gather, store, discuss, and share information
A conference lets a number of users exchange information online. You can send a message to a conference just as you would send a message to another user. You can also open a conference and read the messages posted there by others.
You can create conferences for a number of purposes. For example, in a project environment, you can create a conference to automatically collect information from specific web sites, showcase work to other students, parents, or the community (internally or on the web), or brainstorm with others.
Basically, you can create a conference for any type of discussion that requires collaboration among a group of people.
Use a FirstClass conference to:
organize a project environment
manage an individual project
hold discussions
brainstorm with team members
store information as it is collected
showcase the final projects
